Well, I can see how someone who hasn't been exposed to OTCP campaign of enlightenment can be ignorant to the fact that you don't call yourself Dr. just because you have an honorary doctorate, but I really don't see how someone who has vowed to forsake all others can be ignorant of that fact. But in any case, I think it is probably advisable to handle a case of someone calling himself Dr. when he only has an honorary degree a little differently than a case where someone has committed adultery.
On the other hand, if we do want to use NBF's analogy, we could say that someone who frequently warns against adultery and frequently promotes integrity in marriage wouldn't necessarily have to make a public list of people who have failed in that area. |
