 Want to keep kids healthy on vacation? |

Don't even go in the gift shops. These toys, trinkets, and cheap easily breakable items have been handled and played with by a thousand people. No way they can be sterilized every night.
Avoid the gift shops. Want a souvenir? Get a family photo instead. In many tourist distinctions, an employee will take the shot for you.
Just a suggestion

Very good point RR. We plan to take one more trip around the USA in a week or so. We have kin in Nevada, Portland, and UTAH. At our age 81-82 this will be our last long trip. I still feel comfortable behind the wheel. I look forward to driving in the mid west  Just this suggestion will be passed to mama who likes to buy the trinkets for the great grands. THANKS, RR

Good advice. We're heading to the Smokies next month, will probably limit our excursions into Gatlinburg to eating and outdoor activities. |
