The Great American Church of God Road Trip... |
Aaron Scott |
Wouldn't it be utterly awesome for small groups of evangelists/pastors/musicians/etc. to join forces and travel throughout the United States to visit Churches of God and be a blessing to them?
No need for churches to take an offering--just some dinner and fellowship. If feasible, sure, get them a motel room, but nothing fancy.
In the course of this whole thing, we get to see places we likely haven't seen before...get to minister to new people...get to be a blessing, etc.
Wouldn't that be great? We could also correspond with various teams and meet in certain locations for lunch and fellowship, etc.
It would be a whole lot like the Golden Age of Church of God Evangelism...traveling from church to church...perhaps being part of a revival...being a blessing to others...then moving on to the next place.
I can play the bass and the piano, so I'm in! Anybody else? We'll hit Roughrider's church first on our way west!
Besides, even if it's nothing but just having some fellowship together (no cost to the local pastor), wouldn't it be wonderful to make new friends? We could teach Sunday School, sing specials (if you sing), preach, testify, or just be the "Amen Corner" for the pastor. It would be AWESOME.
I know. I'm a dreamer. But Cojak does it. Why can't we be a part of it too? |

It is fun, and an eye opener of the wonderful folk out there. We are close to 500,000 and are about to slow down.
Since I am not a preacher, before my hearing went, I was blessed to hear some wonderful pastors as we traveled across the country. Oh yes and several of those pastors comment here on this forum.
We were also able to assist in maintenance at several churches, I always enjoyed that.
Anyway, a caravan of RV's would be nice. We did that with S.A. Lankford and his wife for about three years from key west to Alaska. That was a thrill. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Sides, we know bout ever Shoneys and Waffle House tween Pikeville an the west coast. Hey, if at Hammond/Leslie won't gittem in the altar, the ole timers mild distortion will work on em.
But here is the deal, Aaron, make shore everbody you sign up is usin real credentials, hey, cause I aint participatin in no ministry excursion with unethical fellers. Nope, can't do it. |
