 Urgent Prayers for Truman |

I'm Facebook friends with Truman Smith, and I saw last night that another friend posted requesting prayer for him. I don't know what's going on, but she said he's in ICU and really needs prayer. Truman is now retired from pastoring. Please remember his wife, Gloria, also, who suffers from dementia.

Also sorry to hear this. he and Gloria stopped by our Motor home for a visit once. Later we enjoyed worshipping with he and Gloria at his pastorate in IN. Our prayers also. Thanks for posting.

I checked Truman's FB again & someone had reposted his daughter's comments. As of last week (12/23), he was in ICU with pneumonia. He is expected to recover but was very sick as of the time of posting. His wife Gloria is doing OK. Thanks for praying. I am sure he would appreciate it.

Thanks for the update.
I think Truman is the only Actscelerator I've met in real life. My son and I were able to meet Truman and Gloria as they were passing through a small town near where my parents live.
I've been praying for them. |

I visited with Truman several times while living in Bluffton.
The thing about Truman is, he is who he is and he makes no apologies about it.
I remember we were having a district meeting and an overseer prior to the present one was directing it. His plan was to meet with the pastors after the main service had ended and he instructed Truman to prepare food for the pastors. Truman fed the church! He told me later that he wasn't going to just feed a bunch of preachers and send everyone else home hungry. The overseer was slightly perturbed, but Truman didn't let it phase him. My wife and daughter and everyone else appreciated Truman's hospitality, I know.

Good story.... I met Truman also. He is unique!
