I Am a Values Voter |
FG Minister |
As a Christian I believe my first priority is to choose a candidate based upon Christian values; foreign affairs and fiscal policies must be secondary. As I look at Clinton and Trump I see the Clinton promoting lying, deception, gay marriage, abortion, and transgender bathroom equality. For Trump I see a man who promotes lying, deception, adultery, fornication, lewd behavior, and transgender bathroom equality. And if the truth is known, Trump has no problem with gay marriage. In my opinion, they neutralize one another.
Then there is the issue of the Supreme Court where much of our morality or lack thereof is made legal. Trump has promised conservative justices and even gave us a list. But a liar can't be trusted, and if he did honor the list the first time, on his second or third picks he would bow to political pressure and say "I gave the conservatives what they wanted with my first pick. Now we need to bring the country together with a more moderate pick (aka liberal).
On other issues I disagree with Clinton on most everything and disagree with Trump on at least half of his proposals. Therefore, as a values voter, I have decided to waste my vote this year and write in the name of Mike Pence. I hate that he has stood by Trump, but he shares my Christian values and neither Clinton or Trump do. I simply cannot vote for either of them.
Yes, I know it's most likely a vote for Hillary if I vote Pence, but I will not cast my vote for a man like Donald Trump. And I am shocked at the prominent evangelicals who are willing to look the other way and cast their vote for Trump simply because he has an "R" by his name. This is the same crowd who were ready to crucify Bill Clinton and I don't appreciate the double standard. I have always been a died in the wool Republican, but I will not vote for Donald Trump. No way. |

Video of prayer for Trump (L) |

This video has probably been seen by most everyone on Actscelerate but I wanted to repost it to ask the question.. What kind of values would a person have to have in order to subject themselves to this kind of meeting?

Only time will tell if Trump was humbled and accepting and believing, or if it is simply a matter of political expediency. _________________ God-Honoring

Maybe he can come up with a Bible verse now. |
