A Rome man passed away on Saturday evening after testing positive for COVID-19. Rome media outlets reported on Sunday that Bob Hopper passed away after contracting the novel coronavirus over two weeks ago.
Hopper and his wife both attended services at the Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville earlier this month where it is believed the couple contracted the virus. The couple first started getting sick around March 13th.
Hopper’s wife posted on Facebook about the couple’s complications related to COVID-19.
Mrs. Hopper is reportedly at home after being released from the hospital. She is in isolation while still recovering from the virus.
