No, I'm pretty sure Eddie deleted his stuff and is "mad" because he was pretty much called a liar for sharing his story.
Dean, you crossed the line telling Eddie his story couldn't be true. As another posted commented, the culture in one place is different than another. Why would Eddie make something like that up? It rings very true to me, and just because it's not true where you are, doesn't mean it's not true where his daughter is.
The illegals I know are some of the finest, most hard working people I've ever met. They do not have an entitlement mindset. They are worked hard to make a life for themselves here, but they have seen friends and family deported. That has to be unnerving, and the stories I've heard about ICE detainment are not pretty.

Eddie,
I believed your daughter's story.
I am friends with a young lady close to our family - that teaches in North Georgia near Dalton - and in her elem. school 80% are Hispanic - and struggle with English. No doubt many of those are from illegal alien families...being exploited by the carpet mills and other industries.
It's a bad situation - but I don't know that we can make everything right.
Each church, individual can do something - but our govt. can't have open borders and take care of everyone that crosses over illegally.
Financially we are failing - and soon our 401Ks will be ransacked when we can no longer get loans.
Hopefully - we can stop immigration for a while - pay down some debt - and then be in position to accept more LEGAL immigrants - ones that want to get to be Americans - where they have an opportunity to work hard and have something to show for it - not just get handouts. Right now the U.S. immigration system has been PURPOSEFULLY destroyed - and must get some sanity built back in. I sincerely hope Trump will put his efforts into fixing it.
Until then - your daughter can offer aid and comfort for families she is in contact with.
I seriously doubt aliens that keep under the radar - stay out of gangs and drugs - are going to get deported.
The thugs and ones that hate the U.S. need to go immediately - and unfortunately they will have to take their families with them.

I believe Eddie too.
I do blame the adults in their lives though. My kids didn't cry. Why? Because their parents are breaking the law. On the other hand, if their parents are law breakers, then there will be tears. If you own rental property and the parents are meeting their obligation to stay there, then the kids will cry. That is the nature of breaking the law. We have a society that thinks that as long as something feels good, it doesn't matter if its against the law. |

Eddie this part of my response was missing from my original. I was typing on my iphone and lost part of it I suppose. Anyway here goes:
My son has lots of "brown"(hispanic) friends. I have met and entertained many of them in my home. They are some of the best folks I know and I am glad my son knows them.
He told me they were all frightened about Trump being president. These are not 6 or 7 year olds these folks are in their early 20s. They have heard what they have heard. It came out of our future president's own mouth. I don't doubt at all what you say because...

Just so that everybody can read for themselves, I know it didn't come across smooth & Eddie really got to some of you in an emotional way, so look at my words above.
I defended myself against his accusation to me that his daughter was not a liar, I never said she was.
I simply don't believe the story the way he describes it. I doubt the validity is what I'm saying.
I thought this board was made up of people who could make statements & then receive counter-statements or contradictions ...apparently not!
Didn't mean to upset the apple cart here so I apologize for suggesting or hinting that Eddie is a liar which I personally do not believe that he is.

I blame the media and democrats for lying to the people in the US. They have twisted the words of Trump and taken them way out of context.
On another note if they are illegal then they are law breakers. |

During the election process Eddie did not say anyone who votes for Trump is not a Christian, BUT it came across that way. Eddie came across as NO WAY a CHRISTIAN could vote for Trump.
I am saying how I felt on the receiving end.
I do not doubt the incident he posted. The kids have been programmed this way.
The press on several occasions had stories predicting if the 'TRUMPERS' did not get Trump elected there would be riots. They did not say it, but it was implied, the Hillary backers would never do that.
Come on Back Eddie, you have been pretty tough on many on this board when they did not see your 'opinion' as THE OPINION.
Now I am sure Eddie has some 'distant kin' and friends who voted for Trump and today they are still on the Moral high road and Christians. The world did end because folks cannot believe Trump won, kids are resilient, in a week they will be back to their fun loving selves and some liberals will still be wanting to send counselors in.
