I have met a new friend on the internet who reads Acts regularly but does no comment. He e-mailed me, asking that I also let you know this:

Morning Jack, I like your post about our weight and letting it get out of control. Tell Roughrider I thank him for his service and wish his family well in retirement. Also tell him that I would do this in person but I am not smart enough to get logged in,and There is no time to waste trying to get logged in at my age.......................... Your faithfulness in serving others has made a difference. We all leave a particular post or season of ministry with mixed emotions. Those flow from the accomplishments we experienced as well as those things we never saw materialize. That is life, and is certainly life in ministry. However, we serve where God places us in the calling that God placed on us realizing that we are sowers of seed and waterers of what has been sown. The increase belongs to God. So thank you for your faithfulness in preaching, pastoring, leading, loving, encouraging, uplifting, and being the man and woman of God that He called you to be! May this coming season be filled with joy and blessings!

I had the wonderful privilege of being with Rough and Carol Monday and take a tour of their facilities. It is a beautiful place situated on five acres of prime property just outside of the town. They have served here for sixteen years and made a tremendous impact upon the community. He is leaving the church debt free with money in the bank.

I want to personally and publicly thank them for the work they have done here. I am delighted to be connected with this great couple here in Missouri. For those who don't know, he is a hoot! Very Happy
