Post Please Correct/Rebuke me if Necessary Preacher777
I am requesting personal rebuke IN CASE I offended anybody with ANY my posts/responses. My heart is grieved over what I consider the carnal condition of the church. Often I think differently than a lot of pastor friends who are excited about large Sunday morning attendance. My desire is to see the glass half full. However, I can't live in a bubble and deny reality concerning the spiritual condition of the church. Often I search my heart and ask God to deal with any jealousies concerning the megachurch versus our smaller congregation.

My goal is to share my heart, create thought provoking posts that challenge others to search scripture and give objective feedback concerning the Word, cultural adaptation or compromise. Once I post I read over my own thoughts several times. My desire is to address the issues without attacking the person. Often my wife and I see things differently but neither of us ever slept on the couch!

Often I address the congregation and ask people to let me know if I offend them in any way. If people leave Actscelerate I wish them the best and just pray he/she is following God's direction for their lives. I do my best to do the same with people who leave our church.

Perhaps we can all do our best to be agreeable as we disagree with each other. I see a great opportunity for discussion on Actscelerate. I pray we can use Actscelerate to challenge each other to grow spiritually and improve our abilities to reach and disciple others.

Preacher777, you've never offended me (or if you have, I've forgotten it). I enjoy reading your posts. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

Those who have this kind of heart/spirit rarely need correction.

Thanks for all of the kind words from everybody and a good laugh from you Wyatt. Hopefully all of us on Acts believe Proverbs should be in the Bible. Maybe we can do our best to live 15:1: A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. If anybody insists on giving harsh responses on this message board maybe we can turn the bad into good by using it as proof that the Bible is real. If an atheist/Agnoostic challenges the integrity of God's Word we can always share this scripture and the wrong type of dialogue from Actscelerate (just joking)!

One of the best sermons I ever heard was from a professor in Bible college, "You Cannot Kill a Dead Man." He really made a great point about walking in love. The analogy about walking up to a casket and spouting off your best insults without changing the peaceful expression on the dead person corresponding with us Christians should not flinch dealing with nasty remarks stuck with me.
