Had a first happen this Sunday

I've been pastoring for a long time now, and have had some odd things show up in the offering pan. I've had people put their jewelry in the offering more than once. I've had lottery tickets put in the offering and other oddities have appeared. This past Sunday was a first. We had a guy come in off the streets who was in a bad way and he openly admitted that he was, in his words, "a stone-cold junkie." After church, an usher called me aside and said, "You have to see this." This guy put a small vile of heroin and a baggie full of pills in the offering. I had to laugh, but you think about it, this guy gave what he had! The shame is that he left before the end of the service so I have no idea how to track him down.

This is a new one on me too. I've had all kinds of notes etc over the years. It's amazing that people that have been in the ministry for 3 weeks know so much more than I do. lol..... Just had to say it.

I received a message from him today and he is planning on coming back on Sunday!
