This is such sad news...Carman was simply the best. He was a very unique talent who presented the gospel in a way that was totally his own that was hilarious and effective at the same time. He was always passionate for souls. He touched our family in a profound way.
I found out a few years ago I still know all the words to the A2J album the kids & I listened to when we were "on the road." I can't tell you the countless hours we listened to his music. We saw him in concert many times, and Jenny & I got to meet him at a VIP event in Wilson a few years ago. Thank you, Carman, for touching our lives!

This is saddening. His music played a huge part in my faith development in the 1980's and his Christmas album from then is probably, song for song, one of the best CCM productions ever. And I've never listened to "I Feel Jesus" without every being moved to tears. But it's also joyous. He's home where we are all heading.
My dear Lee College friend Dawn Coble Schoate who passed tragically a month ago made me a big fan of his. She now has met him and my mom and so many others .. but I'm sure they're all hollering for the Champion now. Thanks again.
