If you had to choose, who would it be? |

Let's say that either Barak Obama or Hillary Clinton could be president. Who would you choose?

It would be like getting a big jar of fecal matter and trying to separate the 'good' stuff from the 'bad' stuff.
It would be like going to a pig pen and trying to pick out the dirtiest pig.
It would be like taking a bunch of MLB players and trying to decide who did drugs and who didn't.

While that choice makes me positively nauseated.... |

I guess in that case I'd have to vote for the Libertarian Party candidate or just abstain. Actually, the Bahamas are sounding very nice right now.
Obama, while he attended a Muslim school as a child and his father was a Muslim, is in fact a member of a United Church of Christ, an extremely liberal, gay-affirming, pro-abortion denomination.
Hillary's a lifelong United Methodist, which is only a little more conservative theologically than Obama's chosen denomination. _________________ "Of course we are concerned about people voting if they are dead," George Stanton, chief information officer for the New York State Board of Elections. I heard an interesting take this morning on a radio talk show. A caller said that if Barak wins, blacks would have to shut up about racism in this country.
I don't know about that, but I had a black friend to tell me that it was impossible for blacks to be racists because whites are in power. I wonder how he would feel if a black man was the president? Would it change his mind? I should ask him. |

I'd choose Ireland. I've thought about moving there in the past anyhow...that would give me a good excuse. _________________

I would choose Obama... |
FloridaForever |
Not because I agree with him, but because I am kind of interested in seeing what a very liberal Christian will bring to the table.
I don't see him doing any significant damage, and I have the sneaking suspicion that at the end of his time in office, most people would like him (because he really didn't convert the nation to Islam, etc.!).
Just strikes me as the kind of guy that will try to do the right thing (even if I don't agree with his choice). |

Obama in a heartbeat. I think I'd prefer him over most of the Republican field (although I can't imagine myself voting for a pro-abortion leftist in a general election, no matter how disgusted I was with the GOP) |

This thread is funny now! (I was looking to see where FloridaForever came from; prior to yesterday this was his/her last post.)
How is that hope and change working out for you? |

I think there's a special place for people who dredge up the past.
But, I had NOT gone into this with the intention of fooling anyone about old posters. I was just looking to see where the "ghost" (as Rafael referred to FloridaForever) was coming from. This was the first post other than recent past. I couldn't help laughing because FF had predicted Obama would be liked by most people by the end of his term. Hindsight is a marvelous thing. |

Wow, this turned out to be incredibly poor analysis. In fairness, in January of 08 Obama seemed like a charismatic young man with few thoughts of changing the world -- someone who might not be ideal, but would generally be in and out without causing too much of an uproar. How unbelievably wrong that impression turned out to be. |

I really love the Bahamas. Spending two weeks in Abaco and Green turtle cay was heavenly. It really does not mater who is president when you live there. |

Prophets Dave Dorsey and FloridaForever may be ignored from this point forward.
Too bad Hoover isn't still here to add to the list.

I wonder how much of Hillary's policies would reflect Bill's or would she totally blaze her own trail. _________________ Romanos 8:37
