If the GOP establishment halts the democratic process, I'm out |
UncleJD |
I fully support a coalition between Cruz and Rubio to try to beat Donald Trump the right way. However I'm hearing all kinds of rumors that the establishment is about to try something dirty to stop it. If that includes stopping the democratic process of letting the people elect who they want, then I'm out. I don't want to support Trump, but I will not belong to a party of oligarchy.
Furthermore Mitt Romney is probably the last person the party voters want to hear from. If they trot him out there again, it is a sure sign that even now, they don't get it, wont' get it, and are plain not listening.
I want a true, proven conservative, but more than that I want a clean race. |

I don't actually believe that, they are for themselves. But if they think they are saving the party by playing tricks, they may be hastening its demise.
Let me clarify something. I don't love the idea of a brokered convention, but if nobody gets the required votes, then that is the rules and that's how it will have to play out. BUT, if Trump gets the required votes and they do something tricky, I will NOT vote for their candidate, or if they do something tricky to block him from getting more votes. I really don't know what they might end up doing, but rumors are flying. |

I appreciate your stand. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

If you want a "Clean race" then you had better go to a Jr. High Track Meet. That's probably as close to a clean race as you'll get. |

I'm talking about letting the people's vote decide. |
