Senate Chaplain Barry Black at National Prayer Breakfast

Chaplain Barry Black was appointed as Chaplain of the US Senate 12 years ago by President George W. Bush. Prior to that he was the Chief Chaplain and Rear Admiral of the US Navy. He is an ordained Seventh Day Adventist minister who has been baptized with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. I had the privilege of spending the better part of an hour with him in his office at the US Capital a few weeks ago where he shared his testimony with several friends and me of his experience of receiving the Holy Ghost. He is a powerful preacher of the gospel. Listen closely at the end of his message as he walks away from the mic. You will be blessed.

My wife and I just watched AND LISTENED TO THAT. So many friends and pastors and could learn from Bro. Black. TAKE TIME TO PRONOUNCE YOUR WORDS! I understood about 95% of the sermon. I normally understand, even with Cochlear implants less than 50%.

I once told a pastor who was kin to me and I could speak bluntly, that he needed to slow down and pronounce his words, his congregation was not understanding him. His response was, "Jack God gives it to me so fast I CANNOT slow down."

My statement to him and anyone else is, if your people do not understand you, you are wasting your breath and their time. Shocked
