Strange power of trumps speeches |
c6thplayer1 |
Quote: | But when Trump talks, he doesnt sound like any other presidential candidate in U.S. history. Its not just his pungent Queens accent; its not just his short, simple, fourth-grade-level sentences. Its the novel syntax. The free-form grammar. The repetitive cadence. The eccentric phrasing.
|
This journalist is trying to put an intelligent twist to trump. There is none. He has completely overlooked the traits of an narcissist with no values other than self.
Quote: | Trump ; I know words, he said in South Carolina late last year. have the best words. |
Yeah we all know how great he is. He has told us many times.
Here are the attributes of his speeches
Quote: |
Digression
Perhaps the most marked characteristic of Trumpese is the way its sole speaker is always veering off on mid-sentence tangents |
Trumps speech is a constant stream of asides and by the ways,
example;
Quote: | You know, one of the things with the, with our Japanese relationship, and Im a big fan of Japan, by the way, he said during a recent foreign policy interview with the New York Times. I have many, many friends there. I do business with Japan. But, that, if we are attacked, they dont have to do anything. |
A wandering mind , you have to laugh...
Quote: | Look, having nuclear my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart you know, if youre a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say Im one of the smartest people anywhere in the world its true! but when youre a conservative Republican they try oh, do they do a number thats why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune you know, I have to give my, like, credentials all the time because were a little disadvantaged but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me |
Repetition
Quote: | He repeats phrases one after the other, often in the same sentence not as deliberate parallelism but as a compulsive placeholder. It almost as if he cant bear to stop talking, even for a second, so, instead, he repeats what he just said until he figures out what to say next. |
Just a few. No wonder he labels himself as a great negotiator. Would you buy from this guy? If you did and later found out your were conned , you could always back out of your agreement , Kind of like he did with his pledge. Hey if the pres can do it then so can we.

What you missed, you missed was, and then you probably missed the point. I knew a guy once who missed it and heck, well you know if youmissed the bridge, hey sure you know it . I knew a guy once smart fellow, once hs was missed. Many points I make are missed because you know, who knows you should never miss a point. If you miss the bridge, well you are gonna know it, I knew a guy once............
There are times I miss full sentences, full of uh, oh ah etc. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

The main and important key to your statement when doing a comparison is the words There are time , Ill add the S , is the fact that yours only occur some of the time. Unlike trumps which occur every time he opens his loud mouth. |

If you actually wrote out George W. Bush's sentences, they were hard to follow sometimes. But it worked when you heard him say it.
The thing I notice with Trump is he likes to use adjectives like 'good' and 'smart' for complements. "These are good people." "He's a very smart guy." He's got a lot of insults that are a bit more discriptive. "Lightweight", "Terrible human being."
It seems like a lot of people will believe a salesman or a businessman who is confident in what he says. Trump certainly is confident and exudes confident. He assures people someone is good, and some people believe it. He's probably gone a long way in his business dealings just with confidence and simple adjectives. It seems to be working in politics as well.
Anyway, let's pray for the man. He may be the next president. _________________ Link |

The problem I have with his answer to Chris Mathews is that he answered the question without any thought. He just blabbed an answer and when he realized how stupid it was, he backed off. I do NOT want that as president. It's ok to say "I don't know, let me think about that or, let me leave that to the experts I have gathered in that area." |

For once I agree with Eddie.
Surprised Trump didn't know MSNBC would go for the jugular.
He SHOULD have known it was coming.
Reagan was always prepared with the one liner to throw the questioners off.
Trump got smoked.
And the badgering he got from Chris Mathews - the relentless not letting Trump think - worked for Chris Mathews. Who knew he would find Trump's weakness and exploit it.
Trumps worst day so far.
Hopefully, this will make him realize he indeed NEEDS to learn some things to be successful as President.
He is still better than Hillary. _________________ Whether you like it or not, learn to love it, because its the best thing going today! |
