Post Is Actscelerate Ernie Long
a good representation of the Church of God.

If someone stumbled onto this site, would the postings make them want to be part of this denomination?

If they're not saved, would the postings make them want to seek Jesus as their Savior?

Are we more interested in being "right" and stating our opinion than we are being ambassadors for Christ?

Agreed.

I don't look at Acts as a proselytizing forum.

Those looking for salvation would be better served on a site made for that type of ministry.

Churches have restrooms by necessity - but I wouldn't regularly preach sermons there.

Everything has a function.

Totally depends on their lifestyle and moral standings.

Check the post where asked if they agree with name calling and derogatory remarks. Not one person , Zero , nilch , condemned this action. this should be a pretty good morality gauge.

In some ways it is, Ernie. Cause on Acts, just like scattered across this great denomination, you got the following:

1.You got the solid substantive core of Classical Wesleyan Pentecostal COG folk, sound in the faith, convinced in their doctrine, an aint gonna foller fads/fancies.

2. You got some what resides within the parameters of #1, but they got a independent spirit with no real commitment to the movement. They tend to foller whatever the newest thing is at the time (Rod Parsley haircuts, generation curses, gold dust, Bentleyism, an the like). After a while the new wears off an they off to somethin else.

3. You got some who are blatantly intentional about infecting the movement with the leaven of theological error. They use much of the same terminology, but their interpretation of such is much different (eg, hyper-faith, hyper-Calvinism, etc.)

4. An, just like in the COG, ya got a parody on Acts, what simply pursues integrity and ethics an just wants to bless the folk.

Post Cojak
Yes, I think it is a good representation of the COG/ Conservative beliefs. The forum has us liberals, the middle of the roaders and the very conservative. I think it is a good cross section.

Is it church? not most of the time. Should it be? Maybe sometimes. I have read things on this forum that have blessed me. I have read things that shocked and surprised me. I have also read things that caused me to think.

I have even learned a few things and met some good friends, people with morals, that has got to be pretty good! Cool

But, but I cannot find the Acts restroom! Shocked Shocked
