Post Mrs. Roughrider took on the serpent and won roughridercog
Last Wednesday night, Mrs. Roughrider and I along with a few church people were working our children's ministry. She had told the story of Elijah going to heaven in a whirlwind. She had prepared a cut out Elijah and attached him to a helium balloon and was taking it outside so they could watch him ascend.
She opened the basement door and in crawled a small 10 inch copperhead snake. The ladies scattered and Mrs. Roughrider, still wearing workbooks, proceeded to stomp it to death.

Me? I had left to go upstairs and heard about it afterwards. Needless to say, I have spread a significant amount of snake repellant around the church.

Were you scared when you heard about it?

No, I just went and got snake repellant and was thankful she wasn't bit.
