 I Have Trump Derangement Syndrome |

Dr. Trump, the genius who has "good hunches," has now advocated that we get immunized with Lysol!! Here is the exact quote: “I see that disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute, and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets inside the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.â€
Inject us with household cleaners? I think Trump has Trump Derangement Syndrome - not me!
I can't wait to hear those of you who defend this guy to try and explain this one! But, but, but he helps us evangelicals. I know that, but he's still a nut - and an immoral nut at that. What's even nuttier is that I will vote for him because his opponent is an even bigger nut-job! Where is a George Washington, a Lincoln, or a Reagan when we need him? God help us. |

Granted, Trump says enough foolish things anyway, but look at what you wrote:

Aaron... anyone who watched the video could tell that's exactly what he was suggesting be researched. Both injecting disinfectant and somehow injecting or otherwise inserting UV light into the body. He was not telling people to do it, but he was sharing it as a good idea to research and test.
You don't have to rely on anyone's reporting about it. You can watch the primary source for yourself. |

Trump plainly said in the quote "an injection inside." I don't know what "an injection inside" means where you live, but it means somebody is giving me a shot of disinfectant. Come on Jehuda!! Hi Aaron, I was wondering if you could expound on your comments here in light of the president's clarification that he was just being sarcastic.
(BTW... I do agree that media reports accusing the president of saying people should do this now are false, and another example of how our idiot MSM unintentionally functions as Trump's biggest ally. But Trump was absolutely saying that the injection of disinfectant should be studied.) |

Donald Trump is LYING. Pure and simple. Because it all came down on him and it's easier to deflect than to try to explain.
Consider this.... Donald Trump is smart enough to be a billionaire. He has a great education, etc. So ask yourself this: Do you really think that the president believes that injecting some sort of "detergent" in our body is what will do the job...EVEN THOUGH ANYONE WITH AN 8TH GRADE EDUCATION KNOWS THAT WOULD BE A BAD THING?
The problem is that Donald Trump shoots from the hip. He wants to be front and center every day--EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.--and because of that, and the fact that it is utterly unscripted, he makes foolish and ignorant mistakes.
And when he gets called on them, he has too much ego to admit that he misspoke or just got stupid. So he does the whole "fake news" (which he is sometimes right about) or some other way to excuse himself.
He was making, in my eyes (and as you can see, I'm not afraid to be critical of him) an attempt to say something like what follows: "If Lysol can kill this virus, maybe we can find something like that and put it in the body and kill germs."
The UV light? Well, with all the sun-bedding that Trump does, it's no wonder he hasn't caught COVID-19. But the point remains: It is true that sunshine helps. How we get sunshine INSIDE of us is a different thing. But when you riff every day, with no script, just wild west shoot-from-the-hip, you're going to make some stupid mistakes. |

That's why I think Piers Morgan is the best journalist in the country right now: He'll praise Trump when it's called for, he'll bash critics when it's called for, and he'll bash TRUMP when it's called for. |
