How can four future cabinet appointees contradict the future president even before they get approved by Congress? This world we live in is sure getting strange. Does any of this make you concerned or do you just plan on sticking your head in the sand for the next four years?
Who do you think it going to run the country? The cabinet, the president or the congress? |

We are a republic not a democracy!
Trump has a cabinet. These men head departments and serve an advisory role to the president. No, he did not get a bunch of "yes" men. I think that is to expected from someone who has been a successful CEO. It would have shocked me if he would have done differently. And again I voted for him not because I was or ever have been on the "Trump train."
But our country is a mess and we don't need a bunch of yes men in the Whitehouse IMHO! |

I think its quite obvious who will run the country. And those that stand in his way will be chastised publicly or removed from office regardless of whom may be right.
Its only a matter of time when things start going to pot and the only ones to blame will be the republicans in office , not the chief. Those that elected our chief will never admit a mistake as I'm sure you already know. A point in fact , The public morals , ethics , and honor have already taken a beating. These are always the first to go before chaos. |

At present Our twice elected President Obama. Who is watching him? congress and us.
The president elect is 'Tweeting a lot of stuff' and has not yet learned to not react to every one who disagrees with him. That my friend he will learn, maybe the hard way, but he is not a complete idiot (I hope) and will weather the storm.
We got in this mess we are in because of YES men as was stated by DK above. I still believe the president elect did not become a billionaire being stupid (again I hope not), and will get into harness.
My opinion of Russia and Putin? WE need to talk, we need to work with them to erase ISIS what ever it takes, and still stand up as the greatest power in the world, which we are. We sure do not need another COLD WAR that could turn hot.

Maybe we need Trump to post here on Acts-celerate to stir up something. He could say bad things about the GO and some on here would be up in arms over what he did and some would still be singing his praises. Doesn't matter if anything is true these days. I seem to recall Lincoln's cabinet not only disagreeing with him but calling him names.
Cojak, that's generally my impression about Trump and Putin. Trump's trying to maintain a rapport with Putin. Trump has experience with negotiations. Let's see if that serves him well as president. I'm sure there are differences he is not familiar with.
And while I'm on the subject of deal making, I was watching a video that had a quote from "The Art of the Deal" with Trump saying that he sometimes uses what he calls "truthful hyperbole." So I wouldn't take everything he says literally to the last detail. He's a salesman and he likes to get people fired up about what he's "selling." So he may wind up listening to his cabinet to an extent and at some point. |
