Parris Island 1955. The DI says: "Never get behind or way in front of your fellow Marine, you end up in a circular firing squad, and that ain't good."
That is how I see the situation in Syria, it seems everyone is shooting at every one else. In any combat situation you had better know the enemy. Yesterday it was reported that the guys the USA trained, gave all their equipment to someone else, and left the country. It must get a little confusing.
We also have the circular firing squad in our politics . The GOP is the best at the circular firing squad. They forget who they are actually running against, and start firing at their comrades. Their real competition just sits back to watch the deadly comedy.
The GOP is good at that.
