Here in Calif. AP is a popular christian university that has always been a model of christian morality in southern Cal.
The article explains that the school is holding to it's core beliefs but a student need not be a Christian to attend.
As a result of the acceptance policy regarding non-christian students, the school felt the pressure to let down their guard & once again be "accepting" of the lifestyle of others so as to not exhibit the wrong message.

Students are not required to sign off on a code of conduct statement, oddly the staff at AP are required to sign a code of conduct statement.
They are currently experiencing a huge financial deficit & have lost two prominent board members over the decision.
Other key staff have resigned as well.
Could make one ask the question as to what will happen when Lee feels the pressure to compromise.

OUCH!
I would hope Lee and the Board would stand their ground. I am sure if it would happen at Lee, several huge $ supporters would also pull the plug.
Let's hope they do not feel the pressure to change. Embarassed

I cannot remember why I did not complete an application at Azusa Pacific. It was something detailed in the doctrinal statement or something, probably something mildly cessationist that I did not agree with.

I'm sad to hear they caved. It's reasonably to require students to be sexually moral on a college campus, especially considering it infects others in the student body when they aren't.
