EL didn't have a earned docters degree an all, but the feller could preach a strong message.

When I was in school at West Coast Bible College, Fresno, CA one of my dorm mates had several tapes of E.L. Terry when he had preached some revivals at Princeton Pike CoG.
Years later when my wife & I were pastoring in Fresno we made contact with Dr. Terry & asked him to come for a week revival.
We had a great revival & people were blessed.
Imagine a message title, "And the mule walked on" - the dude knocked it out of the park.
He screamed so loud that he threw the microphone down & said, "I won't be needing that useless thing all week!"
He weighed close to 300 lbs & had a real tough time breathing.
One day he asked me if I liked to play racquetball & of course I had a few extra racquets & was eager to show him a thing or two.
We played 5 matches & the most points I scored was 5 & that was because he switched & played left handed.
I didn't know he had competed in the pro circuit.
The week after he left us he went to hold a revival in Bakersfield & ended up having severe physical issues to the point he was hospitalized.
