This was in our church bulletin a couple of weeks ago. Somehow it didn't strike me as the most compelling example of the results obtained through fasting for health.
"Praying for health: 'David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and went into his house and spent the nights lying on the ground.' (2 Samuel 12:16)" |

 Maybe an example of it don't always happen was important at the time.
