Bobby Hammonds has passed, remembering Bobby and Hammo

All us NC COG PK's knew Bro. Hammonds (Hammo). He was the care taker of the NC Camp Ground for many years. He was the CG Pastor. So his son Bobby was a good PK.

Bobby Hammonds passed away yesterday. He was 78 years old. (Don't seem possible, we were kids toether) His dad taught him life. I watched the relationship and ran with Bobby when we were teens. Bobby and his dad had a special realtionship. I envied seeing them pass baseball and practice casting as Bro. Hammonds taught Bobby the fine art of fishing.

Bobby did many favors for the Retired pastors and widows on the Camp Ground, he was well thought of.

Bobby was a good guy, I haven't seen him in years, but I will miss him. It was a shock hearing he is gone we were the same age. Sad

Bobby's former pastor called and left a message. He said Bobby was very sick for the past two weeks and the Dr. could not determine what it was. He kept getting weaker and losing weight.
Bobby will be missed by his wife and daughters.

He also said something Bobby and I would have recognized, because it was big during our time, that is 'COOL' during 'our time'.
Sorry I missed you, but, "TAKE IT EASY GREASY, IT'S A SLICKY DAY". Cool
