A Public Apology to Tom Sterbens

I want to publicly apologize to Tom Sterbens. I considered doing this in private but since I made harsh remarks toward him publicly I felt I should publicly apologize.

Part of my agreement to return to Actscelerate was that I would be more tempered and less aggressive in my responses. I was not that way with Tom. I said things that were not appropriate for christian fellowship and relationship.

I believe this board is better with Tom participating and I hope he continues to do so.

Please forgive me Tom for my mean-spirited words and please continue to bring your perspective to this table.

I missed the post, I'm saddened to learn that one of the best posters here has left. Its always ok to disagree, I did, but we don't need to be disagreeable.

I didn't read the post that gave rise to your apology, but I applaud your willingness to apologize in public as the offense you mentioned was done in public.

In case he isn't reading, I would suggest you PM Doyle to see if he has access to send Tom a message. I don't know if it works, but you may try to find a post from Tom and send him a pm in case it arrives in his email box.

You sound like me from a few years ago. I banished myself for at least 5 years due to my own attitude that didn't reflect well on what I consider to be my true self. Thankfully, some of the "jerks" that always got to me are no longer on Acts, so that makes it easier. However, I also planned at the onset of my return to be kinder, gentler than I was before under another pen and also from my real name.

Sometimes, absence from the situation is what is needed.
