What would America be like if we based all of our policies on the Word of God? |
Aaron Scott |
Let's assume that liberal or conservative, Christian or non-believer, etc., are seeking to reform our nation so that all of our national policies were in full accord with the letter and spirit of the Bible.
What would that look like?
I think we know that abortion would not be on the table--or at least greatly restricted.
Gay marriage would not be permitted. But how would we treat gays?
Would the First Amendment suffer if we went by the Bible?
Would we have universal health care?
What would be the justifications of going to war?
Would it affect our policy concerning global warming or pollution?
Your thoughts are invited. |

Does it work in real life? The Jews could not handle it over all.
We do dream of a country that should have continued to be based on the 10 commandments. But even WE would like to pick and choose which laws would be handled strictly and those that would be smiled on.
I just got a note from a friend that said if Adam and eve had not sinned, Hey we would have no Christmas! _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

When you look back in history religious groups controlling government takes away a lot of the freedoms that the individual enjoys. When it is your religion you will sing the praises but when it is not your religion you feel your freedoms are being taken away. If we tried to run government according to the Bible who's denomination would do the interpetation? There are groups in this country now that are trying to accomplish this now. Jesus didn't try to make people do the right thing or the Biblical right thing.. He gave them a choice. I would agree that all men need to make the right Biblical choice without being persequeted |

That one is a fact. I hear there are some fast growing religions in the world, I surely do not want to be given the choice to change or else, until the proper time arrives as prophesied ..... _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Bingo ! And when their true King arrived, they rejected Him because He wasn’t what they were looking for. |
