 Please pray for our police |

Not only do they do one of most dangerous underpaid jobs in the world, but they are also daily subjected to false accusations of abuse and racism. If you see a policeman, thank him for what he does for you every day. If you know a wife or kids of a policeman, do something to let them know you appreciate their sacrifice.

I do believe our police need our prayers.
I do believe it is a small percentage that give them a bad name.
I do believe that their union over protects the guilty bad ones.
I do not like the Blue line being so strong that the true brothers cannot tag the loose cannons without endangering their jobs.
(That last is true in many occupations, including the ministry).
This morning Our church had special prayer for our police and all LEOs. I am sure we have some dedicated Christians among law enforcement. I do pray for them daily.

And where is the data on this bad behavior? Certainly, with over a million policemen in the USA, there will be some bad actors. But how big of a problem is it really? How much of what gets labeled as "abuse" by laymen is actually standard procedure? I think things like this should be considered before judgments are made.

No you're right there is no bad behavior and unions don't protect and cover up anything. |

I didn't say that. Why lie? But since you are making a claim about cover-ups, can you offer proof? I cannot judge either way. But I think it should be considered that such cover-ups would be hard to pull off, especially in cities whose governments are dominated by blacks and socialists.

In my statement I said I BELIEVE, That is an opinion of years of observing life. I have no personal connection with ANY union. Since I am a basic 'right to work' person I am pretty much anti union.
Like most folk I have many opinions I cannot furnish proof for.
Probably many of my 'religious' feelings, leanings and beliefs I cannot prove by human facts.

Like you, I know affiliation or love for unions. But police unions are liberal. The blue wall does not attempt to protect cops when it comes to racial issues. Being able to score browny points by crying "racism" means the white cop will get thrown under the bus most times.

For 12 years I’ve served as a police COG police chaplain. We have around 100 officers in our department. Most are amazing. They all need our prayers and support. Their job is draining on so many levels. The adrenaline rush and drops. The emotional tolls they face on a regular basis. The abuse from the public that hates them. If something don’t change soon we will be facing a shortage of police, because people will not be willing to serve.
Our church feeds 80 police a banquet every Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, because they have to work and no restaurants are open. Just our way of saying will Love the BLUE.
