Post Deep Dark Doubters...you have more explaining to do! Aaron Scott
1) Explain WHY we do not see the same levels of miracles and healings that the early church saw. What changed?

2) While I agree that most of you are not literal cessationists, you could certainly be called "de-accelerators"; that is, that God is slowing down from what He did back then, not doing it as often, consistently, etc.

3) Explain why people who take the most literal take of the Bible when it comes to believing God for miracles and healings are somehow the bad guys, while those of you who explain it away are the good guys.

4) Explain why WE are not to blame for the vast difference in results between us and the early church. Currently, you cast the "blame" on God, conjecturing that it must not be His will to heal someone if they don't get healed. Are you saying we have the same level of faith and power as the early church, but God requires more? What, then?

You are guilty Aaron - your lack of faith causes every problem in your home, your body, and your country.

God is a sugar daddy that gives out everything asked if you have enough faith.

You should feel very, very guilty for your lack of faith.

All those folks with cancer - guilty.
All those folks with their kids sick - guilty.
All those folks living in poverty - guilty.

Trump has lots more faith than you - just check each person's bank account.
Hillary has lots more faith than you - just check each person's bank account.
Charles Manson gets three squares a day - and never worries where his next meal is coming from, or if he will have a roof over his head - you have less faith than he does.

Guilty!

While I can't take credit for all of them (after all, there were still poor and sick people left when Jesus was here), I must admit that those who have come TO me for prayer...and have went away sick...I almost certainly bear some of the responsibility. After all, it certainly isn't because God WANTS people sick.

At the same time, I just happened to hear the other day on the radio the verse about "Jesus could do no mighty work there..." because of their unbelief. And so, while I fully acknowledge my own shortcomings, it may also be that the PEOPLE WE PRAY FOR are guilty of unbelief.

I mean, if JESUS could go somewhere and, with His reputation, STILL be unable to get people to believe, it's FOR SURE that we will experience such things--after all, we have far worse reputations than He.

I don't recall, but I don't believe I have ever claimed that God wants us RICH (even though He might want some rich). We know the He rains on the just and the unjust. At the same time, I don't believe God WANTS us to be in poverty.

Now, that doesn't mean we will never be in poverty. Paul knew what it was like to be poor...and to abound. But clearly the devil was at work to make life miserable. Do we suppose that we will be poor in the New World? I don't think so. So, while it may be our lot to be poor now, I don't think it is God's WILL that we be poor.

Post I preached Mark 16 this past Sunday Ernie Long
Mark 16:14-20 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

John 14:12-15 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments.

I am tired of Pastoring people who feel they have no power over the devil and their attitude toward their problems is "it is what it is"

I believe we are living in a time, where God's Glory, Presence, and Power will and can be seen and received, IF the church will wake up, get up, and grow up.

When Jesus says, "Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." Then, isn't it time we start asking, so He can start doing?

Just cause you don't see it where you are don't mean it aint happenin, Aaron. Not even what happened in Acts happened everwhere in that day.

2) While I agree that most of you are not literal cessationists, you could certainly be called "de-accelerators"; that is, that God is slowing down from what He did back then, not doing it as often, consistently, etc.

Not at all, neither cessationist or de-accelerators. God did what he did in Acts for a reason. What he does today is fer a reason. Miracles still take place. People are still healed. Lives are still transformed from darkness to light.

3) Explain why people who take the most literal take of the Bible when it comes to believing God for miracles and healings are somehow the bad guys, while those of you who explain it away are the good guys.

If you have ever taken the ole timer as "splainin away" miracles and healings, etc., you have absolutely taken a incorrect view. I believe in miracles, signs, wonders, healings, the whole kit-n-caboodle. What I DO NOT believe is the woffie notion that its all in the power of the tongue, that in essence we as Christians have become little gods, that our own faith transcends God's sovereignty, well, you git the picture.

4) Explain why WE are not to blame for the vast difference in results between us and the early church. Currently, you cast the "blame" on God, conjecturing that it must not be His will to heal someone if they don't get healed. No, God requires no more. Not everyone in the NT was healed an delivered. All the apostles but one were martyred. Paul left Trophimus at Miletus sick. Paul referenced Christian's "oft infirmities." You and me Aaron is simply extensions of Acts in that regard. Yes God heals. No he doesn't heal ever time in ever case 100% a the time. You seem to know God's will and ways, even though the good Book says his ways are higher above us than the heaven above the earth.

Are you talkin bout the "Questionable Ending" of Mark?
