Not that was a small price to pay for a horse. His church gained 50 in attendance by giving away a horse. Brilliant idea.
Horse probably would not work in today's world, simply due to the fact most folks don't have a place to keep a horse. But it may work in rural areas.
I am for anything that will get people in the House of God and possibly get them saved. I attended a tent revival a few years ago, where they gave away two cars and several bicycles. Several were saved.
