It was my understanding when Tom left recently that he went back and individually deleted all his posts one by one.

His posts were deleted, but I don't think he deleted them himself. I think he requested that they be deleted and someone (an admin, I think) took the better part of 3 hours to do so. I could be wrong about who actually went through and did the deleting, but it had to be coordinated with an admin. A person can edit a post and delete the content, but to make it disappear altogether requires administrative tinkering.
As far as the 6000 plus posts that c6th made, some have dropped off the bottom of the page, so to speak. In other words, all of our older posts are gone.

From the thread about "The Shack" thread disappearing:
http://www.actscelerate.com/viewtopic.php?t=86960&start=0

NBF said the following:
"Nothing for mods to do. Original poster has removed himself from Acts - thus taking any of his posts into the ash heap of history. This one hurts guys."

I guess that is what I remembered.

I also found a thread about Doyle commenting on Tom's departure & said an admin had helped remove his access, which removed his posts. Mark Ledbetter also started a thread saying Tom contacted him and it took an admin around 3 hours to delete his posts, which our volunteer admins did not really sign on to do. (Thanks for your help, fellas!) Somehow I translated that in my mind or perhaps just "mis-remembered" that Tom did it himself. (I have slept since then...)

(Sorry, Tom, if this is unwanted attention.)

I really wasn't trying to make a big deal of C6th's leaving, either. Everyone is entitled to do what they desire, whether we like it or not. Just weird that his post totally disappeared and wasn't moved like most are.

Thanks for remembering correctly, Bonnie. Smile
