You may not know what it is about, but what do you even SUSPECT, if you think there is more to this than what seems apparent?
Thanks. |
Love you my brother, but what is a foot is a virus that is killing folk. And no, I do not think there is anything afoot other than a virus gone wild. When this has past life in the USA will continue as in the past. What are you thinking? Just curious???? _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Where are the stats for virus victims in Bejing?
What about Shanghai?
What about political and military leaders in China?
I suspect this is nothing less than an attempt to cripple the US economy with the goal of defeating Trump in the election.
Too greasy for me to digest. _________________ Charles A. Hutchins

Our closest friends have a granddaughter who teaches school in the 'Wuhan' Province of China. They were completely locked down. No one going out except heavily clothed workers delivering food and meds. They had thousands of deaths in their area.
Of course some countries are not as forth coming as other on specific numbers. Plus I expect this is playing havoc with China's economy since we are one of their largest customers.
We disagree here my brother, I respect your right to your opinion. I do agree that this can make or break our president. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Why is almost every other western country doing the exact same thing we are doing? Are Canada, UK, France, Italy, Spain, etc. all in on the conspiracy to ruin the economy so Trump can be defeated?
Why is Trump the one making the recommendations for these guidelines and restrictions (30 days to stop the spread), if they are designed to defeat him in the election?
Come on man. |

autumn trees twice dead |
I read such brave and bold dramatic bravado in these days of panic. I didn't read them in days of calm concerning being the church and taking the gospel beyond the church walls. Very few of these now empowered and deployed churches have done that in the past. I hope to see renewed evangelistic fervor in the future instead of trendy bold talk behind computers.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
James 1
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Jesus in Mark 16:15
We have been empowered (acts 1:8) and commanded (Mark 16:15) and that leaves the choice to obey up to the individuals.
After all it is what Jesus came and died for
The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.

I'm not really persuaded this is the case, but this is my major hope. If it's true that the disease was here earlier than we thought and was much more widespread than we thought (as a result of being asymptomatic for most) then this will be over pretty soon. Otherwise, it's going to be social distancing and precautions until a vaccine is available.
I haven't seen enough info to push me over the edge and this link didn't do it for me either, but I am very, very hopeful this is the case. We need to make antibody testing a priority so we can know for sure. |

| Didn't Fauci himself make the case? He said 50% of those who've had it never even had symptoms so they don't know they had it. Our daughter-in-law had every symptom in late January, her husband, our son never even had a soar throat and I was in the house with her during the Super Bowl while she was coughing her head off. My wife had something very similar and a coworker had it so bad he thought he was going to die, coughed and wheezed with fever for weeks, doctor tested him for flu and he was negative, before we knew what was going on in Wuhan (he'd traveled out of the country in December). Me and several other family members who were around them never had any symptoms. Anyways, I'm convinced of two things, if you get this in your lower respiratory system, it is BAD NEWS and you could die, second, that the deathrate stats are only on tested cases, that's why Italy shows 11% death rate because they didn't have enough tests for anyone not extremely sick, and we're less than 4% (and most of that is skewed by NYC who wasn't testing everyone either until recently). So the more you test, the lower the rate goes. I concede that it may be higher than the average flu (but not all of them). I too hope they get the antibody test figured out (the one from China couldn't detect it unless it was a massive amount from a very sick patient). I'm also praying for our leaders that have to make a hard choice that I don't envy. On the one hand a virus that could kill a lot of people, on the other destruction of an economy that one only has to look at Venezuela and Syria to see what can happen there. I think we could achieve 80% of what we have without flattening the economy along with the curve. I remember the reason given at the beginning of this, that we could not prevent everyone from getting the virus, but we needed to slow it down enough to get in front of it from a medical perspective, now it seems people have forgotten that and think we have to prevent most people from ever being exposed to it. That is not likely and people are kidding themselves and risking a real crisis that there is no way back from if they think we can just "turn on" the economy whenever we want. |
