Good thoughts.
Down play it, ignore it, but 'facts is facts', finances in our world are important. It is times like this that 'living debt free' becomes good in hindsight. as well a future plans. But right now we who have lived debt free for over 50 years, Know how important it really was/is.
Churches should never go so deep in debt that they live week to week. The church local and general should Should be able to weather a storm like this and be able to Give support to the struggling church and pastors.
I mention my dad often. No one else may think a man with a 3rd grade formal education, is too smart, but I knew my dad and he hated debt, Personally and his church. Most of the churches he pastored His first visit was to the church clerk to know the financial situation. He pushed to be out of debt as soon as possible. He thought it WRONG for a church to pay heavy interest when that interest could go into new churches and missions. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!
