Post Best Bible Software Recommendations? Da Sheik
I'm not very computer-savvy, but I do almost all of my study on my laptop these days. I have several free programs I like to use. I was wondering if any of you could recommend some good bible software for purchase. Acts Enthusiast

Logos is amazing and terrible. At everything it tries to do -- it is amazing. The functionality and features provided are excellent, and they provide an excellent library of affordable books.

It runs like a dog, though. Once you get going it's not unusable, but it runs like a dog. It's something you have to get used to. My PC can run games at high graphics settings, but Logos taxes it.

I have read from others that Accordance is all the good without the bad, and if I could make the decision again, I would probably go with Accordance instead of Logos.

I have Logos and WordSearch. Both are great, in my opinion. I typically use them on my iPad, and I personally have had no functionality problems with the apps. However, I’m pretty sure the iPad app versions aren’t nearly as fully featured as the Windoze version on my laptop. The few times I have used these programs on my laptop, I haven’t noticed any problems, but like I said, I don’t typically use my laptop for these programs. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

Hands down, it is Logos.

It is a massive library, so yes, it will take some time. But if ya beef up ya computer like mine, hey, mine runs with no problem.

I got a SSD instead of a hard drive, i7 8th Gen intel processor, 16 Gig a RAM, a gamer style (although I ain't never played a computer game in ma life) GEForce grapics card with 4 Gig a independent RAM. I have the Portfolio version of Logos 7, which is a massive number of volumes, but it runs as smooth/quick as PowerPoint on my setup.

I do NOT have an SSD. OTCP is not the first person I’ve heard say Logos runs much better on one. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

No joke fellers, the SSD will cut ya reboot time in half, it loads programs quicker and operates programs faster than the standard hard drive. Unlike a hard drive it ain't got a movin disc on the inside, it is solid state, kinda like a little mother board inside. Yep, they more expensive, but its kinda like air conditionin, if ya ever try it its almost like ya gotta have it.

Logos ain't cheap, Sheik, the ole timer wanted this program for a good ten years for I got it. I started with Logos 4 an one a the more economical packages. Then, year by year I added as I could afford it. I use it ever week. The new Logos 7 allows ya to build sermons, use www.gracewaymedia.com right from the Bible software, I mean, it does all kinda stuff.

One thing I really like about both Logos and WordSearch is they offer excellent payment plans. No way I could’ve afforded what I have if I had to pay it all up front. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

Me neither, Wyatt. Yep, Logos has got payment plans up to two years.

Post I don't want this going any further, but... Aaron Scott
The OLD QuickVerse is BY FAR the fastest and best Bible software I have ever seen.

The new one (like you might see online) is largely worthless, and it pales in comparison to the old version (which runs very differently).

Don't let it out. But then again, it's hard to find, since they no longer make it.

And they don't come bundled with interest, either. There's a small one-time fee for setting up the plan (or at least there was when I signed up for it) but that's it. Then you just get two years to pay for it.

It’s $5 extra per month for each payment, depending on the number a payment ya choose
