6 months - 2 years - so what? |

Sometimes Paul went places for months. Sometimes God sent him places much longer. Who's to say that God doesn't make longer moves and quicker moves. And who's to say if he wants someone on a State Council for one month or 4 years?
Just rejoice that SC is happy and those in leadership feel good about it. What's it to you anyways. None of us knows any time how much of it is "God" and His perfect will or just His permissive will as men do what they can to fill holes. Who knows?
And why wouldn't CM recommend someone who would love and take care of the people he loves? Probably nobody knows better at this point who would be a great fit for the hole he left. I was asked to select my successor once at a church I left and the guy I picked was voted in and stayed 9 years. I think I made a pretty good appointment |

It just strikes me as strange at how fast God seems to change his plans and I am not saying that this is not God's plan. But...wasn’t it just a couple of years ago that C. Moody was on here telling us how miraculously God has sent his best friend E.L. back to the COG (with supposedly no previous contact with the AB) so he could take over B. Marshall’s church in Ennis? Did God do a quick work there?
Also, if this was God’s plan all along were the Texas Ministers not hearing from God when they quickly put E.L. back on the State Council after he had already left once before. Was it just politicing and popularity that got him on the board or did the COG simply fail to pray?
I have no problem with anyone going wherever they want to go. I don’t care if C. Moody talked his church into voting for his friend (not saying he did) over all of the other candidates. I just get sick and tired of hearing people try to justify their actions by saying it is a “God thing.” Clearly sometimes it is not.
Before all of the COG defenders come on here and “rebuke” me just know this I have seen enough of the back room shady dealings that I could keep this board busy for months.
The COG has some good guys in it but God is no where near some of the junk that goes on in it. |
I think this is a pretty rough way of looking at it. Chris did a great job at South Cleveland, wouldn't it stand to reason that someone like Chris would continue to do an outstanding job there? I am, of course, assuming that Chris and Edwin are at least somewhat similar if they are as close as this board would have me believe. If my dad were to leave Bend tomorrow I'd hope that I'd have a better than average shot at pastoring this church. Does that mean that I would only ever get to pastor here because I am his son? |

Nothing announced for the 2 Texas campuses. I called HQ and the church, they don't know who is going there. |

The campus pastor off the Ennis church was named Senior pastor Sunday. They are disconnecting the two campuses at the first of the year. He is a good man, clothed in humility and I pray they do well. _________________ Check out my Blog www.PastorJamesBuck.com |
