Baptist tent meeting just like old fashioned COG camp meeting |

This Baptist tent meeting this summer is very close to how camp meeting in the COG was years ago. The people are actually singing hymns and they do it well. I would feel right at home here. Unfortunately most of the COG camp meetings I would not. My how things have changed. |

Who, or what, has changed within the COG that you would not feel welcome in a camp meeting? I’m not disagreeing with your assessment, I really am curious to better understand what has happened. I suppose if one could figure that out they would be given a statue in Cleveland though. _________________ “Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why I would feel out of place |
COGLayman |
I am used to traditional camp meetings. Many COG camp meetings now are more like a bar or a club. Stage is black, lights dim, women dressed unlike anything that would have been permitted years ago. It's just not something I feel comfortable with. Take a look at most of the older people who go. They really don't seem to be into it. I guess I am just out of place in this new world. |
