Pray NOW for Haiti

The eye is passing over the western portion of Haiti. 145 mph winds with 20-40 inches of rain. People live in huts. My daughter, who lives there, just happens to be in the states right now. They are extremely worried about the children. There's no where for them to go.

Hurricanes

This is my first hurricane season in South Florida, and as such I have been much more aware of hurricanes - particularly in the Atlantic. Before this summer I didn't know that there was a National Hurricane Center.

But I have been watching Matthew, and it is going to hammer Haiti, Cuba, and several islands along the Florida coast. Knowing how people live here, and sustain hurricanes is unimaginable. Like you said, they live in huts. There is no code enforcement on mud and straw.

Let's be sure to pray for all the people on those islands and pray that somehow God is glorified through all of this.

The people in Haiti have nowhere to go. My daughter is distraught. Their foundation has a school and transitional home in Port Salut which is very close to where the eye passed over. There are precious little girls and boys there who have been rescued from slavery and they really need your prayers today.
