Not sure how many of you watched the inauguration of Matt Bevin yesterday but, let me say I was impressed.
It really was not a political rally except for when the medal of honor winner got up to speak - the sergeant did not mince words about the current state of the US. Bevin, his lieutenant governor and their families made clear in Whom they believe and easily gave thanks to God and clearly said their prayers in Jesus name.
The platform/front row had leaders from the KY Southern Baptist church, KY Jewish leadership and the KY Catholic leadership. Bishop Rabon(KY COG) - not sure if he was on the platform but I know for sure he was invited and attended this event.
Not sure what Governor Bevin will be able to do but I have to say, for the first time in a long time - I have hope in the KY leadership. We must pray for him because I know the political dogs will be out to devour him real soon. |
