Deuteronomy 22:5 NIV - "A woman MUST NOT wear men's clothing, nor a man wear a woman's clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this."
In the same text, the King James Version says, "For all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God." |
Does the invisible universal Church made up of all believers, no matter what denomination they may or may not be a member of, have a visible problem? From my understanding, is it still the contention that as long as you're a "born-again-believer" no matter what church you are a member of (and support with your giving/tithing and attendance), you're part of the Body of Christ?
If this is a correct belief, then the LEC may have a transgender Bishop, but that does not matter to the "sincere" Christians in the pews. The same could be said for the UMC, Episcopal, AME, etc, and I guess the LDS. After all the Church of God is just another expression of the invisible universal Church.
If that's the case, why are so many worried about Lee U. going liberal? Its just the natural evolution of belief, like other denominations, as it gets more educated and sophisticated.
