Post If Trump is wise, he will cancel the upcoming interview with Megan Kelly doyle
In my opinion, it has been a long time in news broadcasting since we have seen an ego as BIG as Megan Kelly's. And seldom ever has a Presidential candidate been so open about his own ego.

A few days before the very first Republican debate, Megan Kelly looked into the camera during her program and spoke directly to those candidates scheduled for the debate. She said, "Don't make me hurt you."

A few nights later, she attempted to do just that, but the response was so negative against her that she had to take a week off. For Fox, it would have been better if she stayed off. She is still drawing a large audience but much of that audience is now negative toward her. In my opinion, Megan Kelly has now morphed basically into being a spokeswoman for the Dems. Leaving her there shows that Fox has lost it's way.

Today, in comments on morning television, Kelly has contended that in the upcoming interview with Trump, that she will once again attempt to blow him away with the same questions about his comments about women.

It seems Trump did say some of those dumb things over the years, but why give someone who wants to destroy you for their own ego, another shot at it? Listen, it is not good journalism that Kelly wants. Her immense ego wants to be the one who brings down a Presidential candidate. Why be foolish enough to give her the opportunity or the ratings that will come from the interview?

Doyle

Doyle, it seems this is more an issue with strong women. But if I (and the millions who think the same) are wrong, what better way to prove it than to face this uppity woman head on and show her who's boss? (or maybe even show her she's wrong and that he can figure out how to be respectful and appreciate women beyond their looks and what they can do for him). If you're trying to win a national election and you are 80% negative among women (i.e. half of the electorate), shouldn't you be doing something to correct it? Golf Cart Mafia Consigliere

I obviously am not seeing the same thing with Megyn Kelly that you are, Doyle. I not necessarily a fan of hers, but it doesn't seem to me her ego is nearly as big as it seems to you.
And I don't expect Trump to cancel the interview; I think they both have something to gain from the interview.
"Don't make me hurt you" sounded tongue-in-cheek to me as if to say, "Don't tap dance around the questions and try to avoid answering them; if you do, I'll be forced to be insistent."

I really dont think shes going after Bankrupt Donald again. I think its more of a character rebuild for her. And really , her comments were no more out of line than the guy who asked Bankrupt Donald if this was a clown race. Hon. Dr. in Acts-celeratology

You question his wisdom? It must be because you have a big ego. Laughing

Megyn has a big ego.
And Donald has one even bigger.

It is a showdown I will watch.

She put a hatchet job on him in the first debate...totally uncalled for in the first question of the first debate.

However, if Donald knows now what she is like, and he can't get up for an interview that he should be preparing for - for over a month - he should probably drop out now.

Ego vs Ego.
Mano e mano.

I think Kelly will be a whole lot tougher than Hillary.

I am not really a fan of either one. But it seems to me that the media end of the debates has become 'participants in the debate. Between the two I like Megan less. The debate is supposed to between the politicians, not a debate between the moderators and participants.

I am not sure I am expressing my self, but it doesn't seem the part of moderation to 'skewer' any individual. Shocked

I don't watch FOX News anymore so I didn't know about the interview. a good interviewer never makes the interview about them just as a good sports referee or umpire should never make a game about them. It's all a big mess. Acts-pert Poster

I think a good interview is one that addresses what everyone is thinking. She asked the questions, about his treatment of women, that many want to hear. It was his opportunity to make things right. What does he do? Insult another woman who dared speak to him that way. If you support Trump, you should hope that he addresses his issues, he needs to. Its the only way I would consider voting for him. Its really simple, just apologize, say he's learned a lot, move on. Golf Cart Mafia Consigliere

I mean, it WAS a legit question, right? If you're running for president, you ought to have to address some things.

Please explain to me what this was somehow wrong to question him on this.

And....she was only saying that, if he is the nominee, he will have to answer those questions and how does he plan on doing it. So, instead of realizing her truth, he went off on her. That's because he had no answer and still doesn't. Now, he is the nominee and those questions wil eat him alive. Megyn was nice compared to what he is about to go through.

It never would have been asked to Bill Clinton. And its not wrong to ask the question when problems have existed in that arena.

I think Fox is trying to make a Barbara Walters out of her. I can't stand her, she tries to act innocient but she know exactly what she is doing.l

I see it totally opposite from Doyle's description.

I think Megyn is a brilliant, beautiful, and strong woman. That is intimidating to some. I see Trump as an ignorant, arrogant, and crude reality show opportunist.

Trump seems to whine a lot. If someone doesn't throw him softball questions, he somehow spins it like they are "mean to him!" Good grief! He is a week self centered spoiled brat!
