I saw that as well. Whatever caused his failures, let's pray he allows the Lord to do the necessary work in his heart to restore him to a right relationship with Him.

I don't watch their programs, though I did watch Fred Price Sr. a time or two many years ago.

Although I don't necessarily agree with his or his dad's doctrine, we should still pray for him.

Who was it that said there but for the grace of God, go I?

How many more of these are we going to see? The members are out there doing the best they can living for God and preachers think they are Bill Clinton. Acts-celerater

Post feel sorry wayne
correction made, sorry.

I really feel sorry for these folks. I truly understand the pressure, the temptation, the battle and the weakness. We are often fearful to admit that we struggle, we don't want anybody to know that the Pastor has weaknesses and fights the enemy constantly.
Pastors are marked and need help and prayer.

So the crowd shouts "no" to him taking a 3 month sabbatical for personal indiscretions?

I hope they were shouting no because the 3 month sentence is too lenient - and not that he shouldn't take any time off after being caught.

I've always felt sorry for that congregation. They have sat under a false, self appointed "Apostle" that has continually led them into the depths of the Word of faith error.

What I've often wondered is what chance do those people have of escaping such a mess?

I have no information of the type of indiscretion in this incident. And I do not know if this pastor was 'CAUGHT' in an indiscretion. In the cases where I have personal knowledge, related by the guilty parties to me, because we were close friends and one close kin. I have utmost respect for two of the pastors who went directly to his stat overseer the morning after the incident, to confess and for prayer. One only confessed after he was caught. The indiscretions had continued for many months and confessed only after he was CAUGHT by the local police.

It is hard to understand a minister (Jimmy S, included) who stands in a pulpit and declares God's Word and that His Spirit is able to KEEP you when he KNOWS he has SINNED and is Sinning!

I have a tough time with that. Also I do not know that a pastor, minister is more tempted that his members. Shocked

He may have more opportunity with the flex hours, but some members work close with sin and fun seeking folk. Sad

Post Enjoyed Fred Price Sr.....much of what he taught caseyleejones
was biblical. I did not agree with everything but I guess the heresy word should be thrown around.

Anyway, I never cared for junior. Sr and wife had a son that was tragically killed by a motorist. His wife had cancer and God brought them through it. I call that resiliency.

I don't think pastors are necessarily more tempted, but I would say they are more targeted by the enemy to seek their downfall. If a member falls, you might have some fallout in the church. But if the pastor falls, it can cause devastation. Some people may turn their backs on God because of their disillusionment or think if the pastor can't make it, how can I?

The warfare against pastors is intense and growing worse as the years progress and the coming of the Lord grows nearer.

Even worse - when the pastor falls - the pastor and/or the congregation don't believe any thing should change.

It was just an indiscretion. Everybody does it. He's human.

Why ruin a good church and have the pastor leave?

God needs the pastor to run God's ministry.

God's forgiven him - why can't you?
