Memorial service for Bill Wilson is scheduled to be held at Abundant Life COG in Lakeland, Fl

The family of heralded Church Of God minister, Bishop G. W. "Bill" Wilson, has announced the date and time of the "Celebration Of Life" Memorial service for him. Bishop Wilson departed this life Saturday, April 2nd, and his Memorial will be conducted this coming Saturday, April 9th.

WCCM is the ministry through which Bishop Wilson helped motivate people around the world in one of the great church-planting efforts most of us have ever seen in our life. The delay in having the service, is to allow those overseas who want to attend, giving them time to book flights and make other arrangements. Some will need to process Visas and or Passports to make the trip to the U.S.

Having such a delay, will be difficult for the family, but they and the WCCM staff, are making every effort to facilitate those who want to be in attendance at the "Celebration Of Life" service for Bishop Wilson. In a statement to Actscelerate, Bishop Wilson's son Shaun said, "We wouldn't want anyone to miss out on the opportunity to celebrate Dad's life."

FOLLOWING, IS THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

"It is with great sadness that WCCM announces the passing of Founder and President Rev. Dr. G. W. "Bill" Wilson. Reverend Wilson went on to receive his reward on Saturday, April 2, 2016.

There will be a 4PM public viewing on Saturday, April 9th followed by a service at 5PM at Abundant Life Church of God located at 6725 N. Socrum Loop Rd, Lakeland, FL 33809.

The 5PM Eastern Daylight Time, EDT (GMT -4) service, will be video live streamed on the Abundant Life COG website (http://www.lifecog.com) to allow more people around the world to celebrate Bishop Wilson's life together with us. The announcement continues: "Please call the Abundant Life Church office (863-815-5433), to ask for information about special "bereavement rates" that may be available for Lakeland-area hotels.

On a limited basis, the Lakeland church has generously offered to assist WCCM Partners and missionaries who need lodging or ground transportation from the airport. Please contact shaunbwilson@gmail.com with the "Subject" line "WCCM Partner Assistance" if you would like more information.
