I initially wrote-in the Ole Time Country Preacher. But then I thought about all the weeping that would take place in KY if you left. So I reluctantly voted for Trump. Acts Enthusiast

Post Well, since.. Mark Ledbetter
I was told it was unpatriotic and unChristian to vote, and also encouraged to vote my conscience, and because I liked neither Clinton or Trump, and since I knew nothing about the other two running, I cast my ballot for both Clinton and Trump.

Funny thing, though. The scanner spit it back out and said I had marked the ballot for two and I had two options:

1. Take it out and correct it.

2. Scan it as marked.

The pollster assumed I would want to redo the ballot, hit option number 1 and proceeded to take the ballot out.

I told him, no, to run it through the scanner as marked, so he ran it through again, with a questioning look on his face, and when it came back with the two options again, he pressed 2 for me. He did.

I then went by the voting table and got my "I voted" sticker, took it to the truck and stuck it on my breath mint box.

I made my vote count & voted for Trump even though the state of CA went to Hillary.
Another good reason why I like the electoral college, it keeps CA & NY from hand picking their favorite liberal.

Interesting weird fact involving the 13+ million voters here in CA. Over 3 million people voted for Trump in CA & just over 5.4 million for Clinton, but because this state has such a weird law where people get to vote for 3 days after the election, CA has over 4 million votes still to count.
If a freak accident were to occur it would be hilarious if Trump ended up with the majority.

California and New York are political anomalies from the rest of the country. Where every other state, red or blue was within about 4 points or less, those two were 20 points apart. That is exhibit one and two for the need for the electoral college. The crying libs who want to destroy it today would have been all for it had the opposite happened, which is exactly what several pundits were predicting ("Trump might win the popular vote but he can never win the electoral college" Even one of our own never-trump posters kept saying that.

Well, Trump himself tweeted that the electoral college was a "disaster for democracy" (four years ago).

I voted for the best candidate on the ballot, Mr. Darrell Castle of the Constitution Party, a candidate whose platform and life I could stand for unequivocally, whom I found to be worthy of my trust. I felt better about this vote than for any other vote I have ever cast. Well, except when I cast my vote for my wife for our local school board. I felt very good about that vote as well. This country has a secret ballot. If you don't want it known, nobody knows. So since you ask, and I don't care who knows, it was Trump.

I do not feel dirty, nor ashamed. MY an was 'NOT HILLARY', and it worked.
Now if Trump is as crazy wild immoral, and what ever else he is accused of being, maybe he will be impeached.

(BUT, he actually may be a good president, I sure hope so.)

That doesn't matter (he's wrong on a lot of things, just not as wrong as SHE is) it would have to matter to 2/3rds of the states who would have to be willing to give their votes up to the left coast. It won't happen.

My point is that it's not just liberals who complain about the electoral college when it doesn't go their way.

Even a New York liberal pretending to be a conservative was opposed to the electoral college.

Straight Republican and against Hillary

I have family that voted 3rd party and I was initially going to vote 3rd party. I felt at the last that the best thing I could do was do what I could to keep Hillary out of the oval office. I did it with a clean conscience though I must say, I did not do it gladly.

I certainly don't blame anyone for not voting Trump.

I think also that we should be able to criticize the formation of the cabinet and what is going to be the leadership team. After all if, we critiqued Obama's beginning, we certainly should do the same with our own.

In fact voting for someone, you should even be more willing to question the reasoning for important decisions. Some folks don't think that way though, I suppose.
