Yes, we have lots of creative men and woman. But Carl Richardson was DECADES ahead of his time. I mean, consider that he got us to air Church of God programs in PRIME TIME.
Alas, because he was so far ahead of the curve, Church of God leadership at the time did not fully grasp and exploit the opportunity in front of them.
In Florida, he created the most advanced and one of the most successful evangelism programs. He built a stable of State Evangelists (I believe one of them was actually Raymond Culpepper) that was second to none and highly effective.
He took Forward in Faith to it's most successful heights, setting the standard for all who came afterward.
His trips to Russia caught the imagination of the Church of God. His mission endeavors are likely the most successful we have witnessed in the Church of God. _________________ The largest room in the world is the room for improvement. |

Since I was quite young at the time, I don't recall if Carl Hart was an evangelist at that time, however, he did hold some position in the Florida State Office (maybe Youth Director or Evangelism Director--at some point there were were two of them).
In any case, Carl Hart is an incredible preacher--and one of the funniest men I've ever met. |

I said that because when I was in the USAF I attended a very small church in Moberly, MO. An hour drive south. The Florida state financed a group of evangelists to cover our state. Carl drew our church and we were blessed by him and his sweet wife, Elva. She was a blessing on the squeeze box and piano. That must have been in 1961-62. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!
