Why does a state need a full-time USA missions director?

I was surprised by that too. I'm glad they are filling the position, just didn't expect the position.

My best wishes and prayers for Matt. The Gunters must be a dedicated family. His brother John is our Music Minister and his sister can SING and bless your heart! We are blessed to have those two at our church. But to the OP, I hope the Ashboro church can continue to grow and the new pastor be a blessing. I asked our pastor if he was considering the new opening, he smiled and said,"I'm where I should be, have no 'leading' nor plans otherwise. WE LIKE THAT! Cool

So his salary will be paid by closing churches is the way I read it.

Brother, we’re old enough to know that when a preacher says that, he’s planning to resign within the month Laughing

Sounds to me like the churches have already been closed. Perhaps that is why they are investing this money in this way.

Post Money for the position - Next Pastor MI6
BTW - The money is in the Bank.
This is the new trend in the Church of God.
You would think that HQ-Cleveland would get the money from sold churches since ALL property should be deeded to COG Cleveland, TN - but for some mysterious HQ does not want the money... even to settle old debts. It is by design that the State Office gets the money.

Praying for the next Pastor...

What am I missing here. I may be a little thick, but I don't get it. Shocked Confused

That is except praying for the next pastor, I do understand that and it is as it should be. Cool

There maybe more to the salary than meets the eye... I do Trust Ken. Cool
