Post election unity |

Once the dust settles and hard realities sink in (either way), will we all be united so that they may know that we are His disciples?
This has been a very divisive campaign season and I am so tired of it. I hope we can go forward without fear (He has overcome the world anyway, we may as well trust Him).
Be blessed today my brothers and sisters. |

The old "Sticks and stones..." saying is a lie. Words hurt more and deeper than sticks or stones ever do and the pain lasts much longer.
We are commanded by the savior to forgive. True Christians will in the post-election and should NOW. The name calling should cease! Leaders should STOP with the endorsements, preach the gospel of truth and live exemplary lives before the congregations.
The only way we will have true unity is before the election. The church needs to repent!
We raised our daughter according to conservative principles. We talked about hard work, honesty and integrity frequently. She was home schooled and Christian schooled. So when she told me the other day she was voting for Hillary, it was like bucket of cold water thrown in the face. Next to my wife she is the most principled person I know. She is a lot smarter than I am. I cannot understand and I will keep the conversation open on this. Regardless of what I say, when she goes to the booth, she will do what she feels is right.
Should not we feel the same way about our brothers and sisters in Christ? Is Christ not in them too? |

Which is exactly what we all must do. |

Yep.
And on Words and Sticks and stones, etc. It does hurt when someone cuts you deep with a word. One thing about age, you forget soon, whether you want to or not. (TRUE not just a joke) I very seldom have to ask forgiveness for holding a grudge especially with a brother or sister in the Lord. A lot can be said about this subject, but positive thoughts are best. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Yeah, it took me almost a month (or was it 4 years) for me to forgive you guys (whoever you are) That refused to vote for Mitt, because he wasn't a real Christian! _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Yes. We will become united in the struggle against Hillary. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

Its not the same group. Especially not on here. I was around then too and remember 2 or 3 posters (when there were a lot more posting here) saying that, but not to the level we have now. Lets be fair. Romney just wasn't aggressive enough, and he had an unfortunate truth stuck to him that he was a governor of one of the most liberal states in the union and had espoused many liberal policies that got him there. John McCain lost in the same manner, too "moderate" to gain enthusiasm from his base.
But I digress. I believe that either one of these 2 candidates will likely lead to a mess and not be a savior for our country at all. More than ever, we need Jesus. |
