I will be working so I will not watch much but I will try to watch the part where he takes the oath. Not because I particularly like Obama but because he will be my president, and the CEO of my country.

I will watch most if not all of it. I will be at home and I generally have the TV on to a news channel so I will "be all over it". I did not vote for Obama but I hope he does a great job. Our country needs help with the economy. I hope he does not do a lot of damage to the morals of the country on the social issues such as abortion and gay marriage. If he does he will set the stage for a Rebublican come back in the next election. If he wants to serve two terms he will need to govern from the center-right rather than center-left in my opinion.

I work in Baltimore City. All counties near DC with a large African American population have Inauguration Day off, as well as Baltimore City schools. All other counties are having school (including mine, which is farther north and predominantly white).

What do you think about this?

I have watched almost every inauguration that I can remember....

The person being sworn into the Oval Office is probably the most powerful human politician on the planet.

The festivities of this day show the entire world what "peaceful transition" and freedom should look like.

I will watch it.

I'll be watching part to most of it.
I'm not the type of person who can set in front of a tv set continually. Too many other things to do.
Plus as someone said, I don't care for all that ball room stuff..to much hype.
Some is ok but when it gets draaawn out..forget it!

I see two little girls thats going to be very very tired from it all when its over.

My husband and I are divided politically...with that said he will have it on full blast...I won't have much choice as to see some of it. Have to admit though...I'm quite curious as to how this one will be different from the others (putting aside the obvious differences).
