Post Another General of the Faith Passes - Floyd Lawhon Carolyn Smith
I saw on Facebook last night that Floyd Lawhon has passed away. He's been sick lately, and I've seen several requests for prayer for him.

Floyd Lawhon laid hands (or maybe his Bible) on me in 1982 at the NC Campmeeting, and the Lord healed me. I was pregnant with my daughter and had been experiencing problems for months. After he prayed for me, the placenta (which had been in the wrong place) moved back to where it was supposed to be. My daughter is now 41.

Floyd Lawhon touched many lives through his ministry, and he seemed to be truly humble. I've heard several of his faith stories through the years. I didn't know him personally, but I know he has been a giant of faith in the COG that the Lord used in a significant way. Please keep his family in prayer.

Agreed Carolyn.

I always looked forward to when he would be at camp meeting - which, unfortunately, was the only time I ever saw him. I never knew him personally - but I was a huge admirer.

I heard him preach probably almost 30 years ago. How old did he live to be? Acts-perienced Poster

I was just watching a clip of his son who said he was born in 1940, so that would make him 84-85.

Prayers here. I did not know I was older than Brother Lawhon. The last time we saw him was in the Deland Church. Cool

He actually was 83.
