Post So very proud of my little church roughridercog
Weeks ago, God placed it on my heart to declare March 6 World Missions Sunday at my church with all mission monies coming in to help support the Tanner ministry in Scotland.
At the beginning of the service, I was somewhat depressed due to a large number of people missing due to a flu epidemic in our little town. But we still had service, worshiped the Lord and gave.
At the end of service, my clerk came to me tearfully and asked me to guess how much had come in for the Tanner ministry in Scotland.
I guessed an amount and she announced to me that $1200 had come in this morning.
I was amazed, blessed, and broken at that moment.
My people are not rich. Most are retired. But they rose to the challenge of the Holy Spirit on their heart.

Just sharing my joy.

Post Only those of us who have nurtured a small church, can grasp the enormity of that offering. doyle
Praise the Lord for that powerful offering. That kind of offering can set people on fire for the work of God. In a small-church setting, that is a BIG DEAL of an offering.

Blessings to them AND to you also for nurturing them and keeping Missions before them. Someday, I would like to visit Scotland. What a powerful history there is from there for God's work.

Praise the Lord for your "little church," Rough, which in all honesty ain't little at all. It may be little in number, but not in impact. Little is much when God is in it. Now I know ya proud a ya church for its act of ministry in giving. But........But.............BUT if ya will allow the ole timer, I would like to say "thank the good Lord for your church's pastor."

Here's the deal my dear brother:

1. You have served your flock faithfully.

2. You have labored among them with integrity.

3. You have taught them well the benefits/blessings of giving.

An I know you won't say it, so let the ole timer say it. We on Acts are not only proud of your church, we are proud of your church's pastor too!

Post OTCP and Rough wayne
OTCP,
I appreciate this post very much. I almost started crying when I read your compliments to the Pastor. Man, there needs to be more of this amongst us pastors.

Rough,
My late FIL taught me about missions and I watched God bless him and our church because of his faithfulness to these blessed people. I continue to follow that path and I applaud you for doing the same.

Post Proud of faithfulness Dentanner
Pastor Jim 'Roughrider' when we got the report this week we were overjoyed and so thankful. On behalf of the churches and pastors in Scitland. THANK YOU!!! I cannot stress enough the importance of small churches giving to missions. It is the small consistent faithful gifts of faithful members that keep full time career missionaries in the field. Projects come and go!! But career missionaries are always there to see the work of ministry continue and provide accountability to donors. God bless and may He provide more seed to sow and give back to each of you in the same measure you have given to Him!!

Post Dentanner
Writer and Pastor/Evangelist Bobby Duncan is traveling to Scotland with me in May. We are documenting the history of the Church of God in Scotland. Appreciate your prayers for this trip. Recently we have been given a small building in Glasgow for offices, training and a drop in center for homeless. Another pastor has made an offer on a 30,000 square foot building for a new ministry center. COG congregations across the USA have made this possible. Thank you again Roughrider for remembering us and for the faithfulness you have instilled in the people of Savannah Praise Fellowship!!
