Post Let's say it all flips around Dean Steenburgh
I'm inundated with people who are on both sides.
One side says Biden won & there is no reason to challenge any of the results.
The other side says, Pres. Trump was winning until the counting stopped & he will prevail in court.

Here is my statement & then my question:
If Biden wins & is confirmed we will have no choice other than to accept the facts & move on ...barring of course all legal challenges have been ratified.
But if the courts find that these witnesses who have signed affidavits are legit & the re-counts have shifted the ballot #'s in such a way that it falls in Pres. Trump's favor, what is going to happen if it all flips around?

I can see Portland, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, S.F., L.A., Chicago, N.Y., Atlanta & maybe a few others having nightly riots, statue abuse, burnings, torchings, fighting, killing & shutting down freeways.
4 more years of extreme hate & vicious accusations against the nation's president?

Where is all of this going?

I am also concerned about rioting if it flips around. If you watch or read the 'mainstream media', it doesn't look like there is much of a chance. That would be part of what fuels the problem with Trump winning in the end, since those who do not watch the new right-wing news outlets and certain commentators on Fox are basically unaware of any real evidence for fraud. I would not be surprised if that led to riots. The news would likely add fuel to the fire if there were riots. If the SCOTUS made a decision in favor of Trump, I wouldn't put it past the media to say that justices Trump appointed to the course had accepted his 'baseless claims' and backed up a coup against the Biden government, or something along those lines.

Once that settles down, on the political side of things, I think the dems in politics in the news are going to have less motivation to impeach or vilify the president with the same degree of hatred since they would not have to prevent a second term.

If that did happen, Pence could potentially be the Republican nominee for the next cycle if he can muster more personality than Cruz or Rubio or whatever other candidates are there. If I were a betting man, I wouldn't bet on it. Someone else could get momentum. I wouldn't think Biden would be up for another term in 2024 at his age. If the Democrats ended up with another boring compromise candidate who is a little light on personality like they did this time, Pence could have a chance. if another great speech maker like Obama rises up, that could be some tough competition.

I wonder if we are going to see a lot more 'Trump-like' candidates in the way they talk to people going forward. It has been shown to work to some extent. It may take a unique personality like Trump to pull it off, though.

This is the most divided this country has been in my lifetime. I love this country and firmly believe it is the best that exists in the world today. I do believe if by some 'magic' legal action that the vote is swung to Trump things will be as you describe.

HOWEVER, I do not believe that will happen. It has been said I am suffering from early stages of dementia here on acts, and that may be true. But I still can remember most 'leaders, pastors, bosses and friends I have had. The ones that have had the biggest egos have been failures at their job over all. Some lost their businesses and went bankrupt. It is a trait with which I have a problem. MOST leaders (religious, business and political) who have the attitude 'MY way or the Highway," have been less effective, many failures.

I have always disliked a 'spoiler' when if they did not get their way they made every effort to make others look bad.
My dad, a self taught man with God's help, having a 3rd grade education said, "If you must pull someone down to make yourself look good, you aren't too tall yourself."

All that said and it is my opinion, This country will come out of this MESS and will survive. So far this nation has NOT stopped the preaching of the gospel. There are Christians dying in parts of this world for the cause of Christ. When I was a child Herman Lauster and MANY others were in prison in Germany for preaching the gospel, I have not seen that in the USA.

I feel that there are millions here in the USA that 'have not bowed their knees to Baal', God is good and he does have a mighty army. WE will survive as a nation and continue to send missionaries through the world.
Just my humble opinion, the sky is not falling down because of our national elections Smile Cool

If it flips, I see no recourse but for the President to send in the military to keep the peace. Whether that means some variant on Martial Law who can say. One thing is sure and that is if this election is flipped, the past four years will seem like a Sunday School picnic compared to what’s coming.

I have heard the scenarios of how it can flip, but to me that is like drawing straws 20 times and getting the short straw every time. Shocked

Post Excellent post Cojak doyle
THANK YOU for your excellent post. I agree with you and with your beloved Dad. If you have to put others down to lift yourself up, then the trip back down will be sudden and painful.

Especially as Christians, our role is to lift people up. great post.

As far as scenarios go, if Trump can convince one state not to confirm it's election results, does it go to the house, or do there have to be enough states to sit out to not to get 270 for one of the candidates? If he does this, we may face democrats trying to get candidates elected by similar means. Maybe not, if Republicans keep a majority of states for presidential campaigns. Other Republican candidates could try to push elections into the House.

The way I understand it is that each state in the House gets one vote, not each Congressman/person.
