YOu have to read between the lines. Most of those reporting the type of hacking has absolutely no idea of the technology used nor do they understand the high and low levels of intrusion .
High Level intrusion is compiled with standard software ie. "C , Pascal , Java ect. and usually requires interaction with the victim of the hack.
Low Level intrusion is complied with assembly code at the core of the program and does not need end user involvement. This is the worst and most dangerous. |

The thing is that our intelligence has been saying for months that Russia has been hacking us.
I'm sure the nitty gritty about how they arrived at the conclusions is mostly classified.
Some of the questions now are was there an intent to influence the election, was there another playing leaving fingerprints pointing to "Fancy Bear," in other words, the "false flag" that Bolton suggests could have happened.

Very interesting. I did like it and could understand a lot of it. Of course we want to know the facts, but I am wondering ...................... I wish it wasn't partisan, but so far you cannot paint it any other way.
I liked the idea of whose finger prints are on the intrusion. It appeared to be logical, the interviewee's approach. Get the fact first......
Thanks again _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

It's kinda funny how a politician can't win whichever way he goes. There is a guy making the case at the DailyBeast that Obama didn't do enough to stop it before now.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/12/11/obama-and-congress-knew-about-russian-hacking-and-they-did-nothing.html
And the call for investigation has garnered support from Republicans like John McCain and Lindsey Graham, but commenters on an article I read couldn't call that bi-partisan for calling McCain and Graham RINO's. |

Agree, I honestly get tired of Republicans or anyone else tacking RINO on anyone who tries to be -----Bi-partisan---- . We do need more co-operation in government. That is why we have representatives to come to some kind of agreement on running this country. Some folk love gridlock so they can BLAME the other side and get nothing done...... _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

| Heres the catch, HOw could Russia influence the election by hacking? They have not modified the election results. This could have been detected. So what was the nature of " Influence " and how was it used , if any ? |

I think what it boils down to so far (as much as the public has been given the info) is that DNC emails and Hillary emails were hacked and released. There is speculation that it was released with the intent of making them look bad and therefore hurt Hillary's chances.

Many things are possible. My honest opinion is YES, that SOMEONE released those things to hurt Hillary. but I THINK USING Russia was to put higher importance on the hacking than is merited. In this world there are many many people with the ability and means to hack into those accounts. Especially since it was very possibly 'Allowed' by an individual who answered a Phishing expedition that security did not see as Phishing and said do it.
I simply think using Russia was an attempt at a sort of smoke screen. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

Hot air....? I am wondering how smart some folk are to give false tracks.
I guess it is hard for the neophyte (me) to understand the way things can 'absolutely' be true... No benefit of a doubt.. _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

I think it's like convicting a criminal with evidence that goes "beyond reasonable doubt."
I guess you could also think about it on the converse side. What are the chances that Russia hasn't been hacking us?
Yeah, hot air, lol. I think Rick Perry inadvertently referred to the site as "Hot Gas." LOL. They typically have links to other sources in their pieces, they lean conservative, politically, they may use click bait at times, but they are not typically purveyors of merely sensational stuff or conspiracy theories. That's just my assessment.
Anyway, Hot Air is quoting Dmitri Alperovitch who is an executive of a cybersecurity company. Here is what Alperovitch wrote about this situation back in June. From the horse's mouth, so to speak:
https://www.crowdstrike.com/blog/bears-midst-intrusion-democratic-national-committee/
"In particular, we identified advanced methods consistent with nation-state level capabilities including deliberate targeting and ‘access management’ tradecraft – both groups were constantly going back into the environment to change out their implants, modify persistent methods, move to new Command & Control channels and perform other tasks to try to stay ahead of being detected."

The democrats just can't get over the fact that Hillary lost, they are going to spend the next four years making excuse after excuse. |

Well, Trump has finally admitted, "As far as hacking, I think it was Russia..."
Man, it took him long enough to finally acknowledge that. |
